Lëoni Cachia Says:

YES! - Lucid dreaming!... Dream states play a part in my everyday life because I have learnt, from a young age, how to use that time to organise my day, by setting mental reminders about the things I need to do, people i need to see, or places I need t...See More

I enjoyed lucid dreaming when I was around 4-5yrs old and was able to leave my body at will. Again around 14-15 I could, but it required more effort. When i was around 18 I practiced a lot as was able to become lucid whilst dreaming and have OOBEs. A...See More.

Annalese Jack Says:

I had a recurring dream (nightmare) for many years that stopped around when I graduated uni. In these dreams I was always being consumed by giant waves, and would be dragged out to sea, then have to swim and struggle back to shore. I always made it back, but would wake up exhausted!

Krissy Kneen Says:

I am struck by the details in my dreams. I often have apocalyptic dreams, the world is being destroyed by a massive tidal wave, people are being brutally killed but for some reason I am struck by some small detail like the particular color of the light in a phone booth or the way a knot is tied on a shoelace. I wonder why the detail is so important. The other thing is that I heard that if you die in your dreams you die in real life but I have sometimes had a recurring dream where I die but I continue to be conscious inside my corpse. i am waiting to leave my body but don't and this always ends in panic as I realise I will be trapped in my dead and rotting flesh forever.

Mara Macs Says:

I always thought dreams were for our brains to sort out our experiences but I've had two kinds that have surprised me. One is that I can talk really well with a foreign accent in my dreams which in reality I'm hopeless at, and the other was that in a dream I was one of those giant duck billed dinosaurs, like really. I could feel my dinosaur body moving! I didn't think dreams could give new sensations.

Drita Ademi Says:

Many years ago when in university travelling by bus to uni I was re telling a dream to my flat mate that I had the previous night- basically the dream was that we were on a train and when we got off there was foxfm cars waiting with goody bags. Later that night we were going out and travelling by train. You could imagine our faces when as we were walking down the platform we saw foxfm cars waiting with goody bags!!!! Can't explain what happened but have had many give me their views on so called premonition dreams....would love to hear your ideas :-)

Oddur Augustsson Says:

During the last six months of my final year of university I was unsure about my first career step after graduating, so I asked my subconscious mind for help. On a scrap of paper I wrote a question 'what do I do next?'. Over several nights I had a series of cryptic dreams. The most vivid of these has stayed with me for over fifteen years now. I was in a space which resembled an art gallery, and walked up to a panel which was all one colour but in constant motion. A cornucopia of geometric shapes were dynamically shifting and intersecting with one another. A man approached me (his appearance was like someone who worked at the 'gallery') and with a warm. And compassionate expression said to me 'you're not ready for this - you've seen enough for now'. He drew a curtain across the panel and gently led me away. I was left wondering the next day - OK, bizarre, but what about my first job out of uni!?Fifteen years have passed, and away from my earning a livelihood I have deepened my practice in meditation and absorbed a lot of material in esoteric studies. I now know the symbolic meaning of the dream was about my understanding of cosmology and concepts from the Qabala and the higher realms of the Tree of Life. But it was lousy career guidance. It was apparent that the question I asked was too vague!

Seon Says:

I have dreams of my relatives who have died where I'm visiting them, then realize they are dead and it is their spirit. Powerful.

Elizabeth Howard Says:

I dream of tidal waves. Typically, I see it coming. It's too late to escape. I experience the terror and sometimes warn others.

Mark Rigby Says:

I used to have a recurring dream about choking on and coughing up small pieces of glass - no cuts or blood but quite disturbing.

Rhiannon Jeans Says:

Why do vivid bizarre dreams related to deep sleep occur? Are brain stem structures more activated than cortical ones?
